An alternative ending to Brave Irene
Book written by William Steig
She was already buried, but she had to go on for her mother’s hard work.
So she busted out of the mountains of snow.
After a few minutes that felt like hours, she finally made it to the palace.
The ball was about to start in five minutes so she went as fast as possible to the Duchess.
She finally found her, Irene said “I’m sorry Duchess, I -” and then realized the Duchess was wearing the dress.
“Sorry for what?” the Duchess asked.
“Where did you get the dress?” Irene demanded.
“It flew to me.” The Duchess huffed.
Irene found her way home, but it wasn’t easy, but she and her mother lived happily ever after.
