She was so glad when church was over and couldn’t wait to get outside. She felt like she couldn’t breathe in there for some reason…it was so stuffy. Wandering around to the back of the main building she saw several adults hiding brightly colored eggs all over the churchyard. She felt exhausted. As she leaned against a tall tree she thought she saw something moving by the chain-link fence. It looked like a small rabbit…she laughed at the irony. It was Easter and here was a rabbit making his appearance. She smiled and slowly walked up towards it as it sat up on it’s haunches and stared at her. It didn’t seem frightened, just wiggled its nose and hopped away. She continued towards the fence and as she stepped behind it she noticed a building on the other side of the field that she had never seen before. She sighed…she wasn’t really into watching the kiddos run around hunting eggs so she figured she might do some exploring. Thankfully she’d worn her comfortable shoes.
The rabbit was out of sight as she got closer and it looked like an old house…she wasn’t even sure if it was occupied. There were a couple of old cars in the front yard that looked like they hadn’t been driven in years. She heard the kids laughing in the distance and she was losing her adventurous spirit. As she started to turn around she noticed several piles of discarded clothes and shoes next to the door. She slowly walked up the steps to get a closer look and then heard a commotion inside. Suddenly someone in a giant rabbit costume burst through the door and grabbed her by the hair…before she could even start screaming his hand was over her mouth. He pulled her inside to the kitchen and the last thing she saw before he snapped her neck were huge jars full of different colored liquid…and floating in that liquid in each jar was a human body.
